Recommended Use

Suståne 8-2-4 is recommended for use on all turf surfaces, supplying a rich supply of of humus and carbon to replenish inert soils and all 17 elements required for photosynthesis, to promote plant health. Apply as a stand alone organic amendment to correct soil deficiencies or in conjunction with an existing nutritional plan.

Suståne 8-2-4 provides a safe, simple, and cost-effective feeding solution. 8-2-4 provides balanced nutrition from seed through maturity. Suståne 8-2-4 is the perfect fertilizer for when you need significant quantities of organic slow-release nitrogen with low burn potential. 

Professional Grade 

Suståne products are derived from biologically stable humus-rich compost and contain both water soluble nitrogen (WSN) and slow release nitrogen (SRN), beneficial microbiology, and all 17 elements essential for plant photosynthesis. With a near-neutral pH, a low salt index and low ammonium nitrogen percentage, Suståne will not cause seedling stress or plant fertilizer “burn”. Suståne products increase soil cation exchange capacity (CEC) by supplying humates and stable organic matter. Suståne’s organic and blended natural fertilizers provide all soil types with additional buffering capacity, allowing for more consistent and productive growth.

Standard application rates:
5 lb. to 11 lb. per 1000 ft2 (2.5 kg to 5 kg per 100 m2) or 3.25 kg covers 100 m2 (325 kg per hectare) per application. 

Turf Establishment, Seeding, New Lawn Construction, Laying Sod and Sprigging:

Preplant - Broadcast and Incorporate into the top 4 in. (10 cm) of soil

25 lb. per 1,000 ft2 or 2,200 lb. per acre

12.5 kg per 100 m2 or 1,250 kg per hectare

Postplant - (45-60 days) - Broadcast and water in

12.5 lb. per 1,000 ft2 or 1,100 lb. per acre

Hydroseeding - Mix with water solution at a ratio of 2 lb. Suståne 8-2-4 to 1 gallon of water / 1 ton per 1,000 gallon tank

For 44 lb. of N per acre apply 550 lb.
For 90 lb. of N per acre apply 1100 lb.
For 130 lb. of N per acre apply 1700 lb.
