5 2 10 fe fine

Suståne® 5-2-10 with Iron is a granulated professional turfgrass and landscape fertilizer.

Label Spec Sheet MSDS

Description:

Suståne 5-2-10+Fe combines Suståne organic compost base with iron sulfate organically chelated during the active aerobic composting phase providing for slow release iron for enhanced chlorophyll production and turf color without excessive top growth. This is the ideal 1:2 N to K organic based fertilizer for summer and early autumn feeding.

Additional potassium is supplied for sandy soils and USGA type putting greens where potash is often lost through leaching.

Recommended Use:

Sustane 5-2-10+Fe is the all-purpose turf food when the 1:2 N to K ratio is desired for building carbohydrate reserves in the root system. It is available in either Medium Grade (lawn and fairway applications) or Fine Grade for putting greens. Suitable for use on all turfgrass types providing quick green up followed by long lasting slow release organic nitrogen. Use where even growth and color is needed for six to eight weeks and potassium reserves need to be increased.

Benefits of Suståne 5-2-10+Fe

  • Provides quick green up followed by six to eight weeks of even color and growth
  • Increases the nutrient and water holding capacity of the soil.
  • Strengthens plants tolerance against hot dry conditions
  • Promotes greater root development.
  • Improves buffering against changes in soil pH
  • Increases the soil’s ability to suppress plant pathogens
  • Increases soil porosity and stability for greater root development and water holding capacity

Always Safe for Plants, People and the Environment

  • Manufactured by Suståne in the USA at an EPA permitted facility.
  • Pathogen and weed free, no blood or bone products. Allowed for export to over 60 countries world wide.
  • Aerobic composting eliminates animal and rodent attraction to application site.
  • Contains naturally occurring beneficial bacteria and fungi that are necessary to begin nutrient life cycle in poor soil.
  • Suståne is fully composted eliminating the need for sterilization, permitting a healthy environment for beneficial microbial populations.

High Potassium to Nitrogen with Organic:

For use on sandy soils and fast draining putting greens and high wear areas like driving ranges and tee boxes, Suståne 5-2-10+Fe is the first high-K organic product on the turf market. Many other organic fertilizer manufacturers have tried to emulate the Suståne formula over the years. None have produced a product comparable and so complete as Suståne 5-2-10+Fe. Naturally occurring sulfate of potash (potassium sulfate) from the Great Salt Lake in Utah is the only source of potash utilized in Suståne Natural Fertilizers that supplements the naturally occurring organic potash derived from the Suståne compost base.

The organically chelated iron source will not burn or blacken turf grass. Rich in trace minerals and humic substances, Sustane 5-2-10+Fe is perfectly suited to amending low potash soils during periods of summer stress.

Landscape Maintenance:

Professional landscapers have increasingly turned to Suståne 4-6-4 for use on high maintenance turf and landscaped environments. While synthetic fertilizers supply plant growth nutrients, they do not supply the organic matter required to maintain quality growth. Using fully composted natural fertilizers increases the levels of beneficial microbial activity, which in turn convert nutrients into plant available forms.
