Greens Grade Spring Starter

Suståne® 10•1•4 Granular

Recommended Use

Suståne 10-1-4 is recommended for use early season, on all turf surfaces, particularly greens, in cooler conditions when soil temps are below optimum, as a start up fertilizer. Increased W/S N in 10-1-4 will release for plant uptake in cooler conditions, while the organic base will help build up soil carbohydrate reserves at a crucial time early season, for increased plant metabolism.

Description

Suståne 10-1-4 Spring Turf Starter is a fine grade homogenous granular fertilizer for greens, tees, and tight cut fairways. It is rich in quick release water soluble nitrogen, making it ideal for a quick green up in early spring.

Professional Grade
Suståne products are derived from biologically stable humus-rich compost and contain both water soluble nitrogen (WSN) and slow release nitrogen (SRN), beneficial microbiology, and all 17 elements essential for plant photosynthesis. Suståne will not cause seedling stress or plant fertilizer “burn”. Suståne products increase soil cation exchange capacity (CEC) by supplying humates and stable organic matter. Suståne’s organic and blended natural fertilizers provide all soil types with additional buffering capacity, allowing for more consistent and productive growth.

Benefits of Suståne 10•1•4
  • Provides increased soluble Nitrogen for immediate plant uptake in lower soil tempratures.
  • 75% of the total nitrogen is water soluble and readily available.
  • The N source is in the ammonium sulfate form and is known to lower soil pH and aid in suppression of certain turfgrass diseases.
  • The organic base carrier from Suståne compost and natural sulfate of potash supply all other nutrients and carbohydrates and humic substances required to maximize nutrient availability
  • The first high soluble N source for turf carried and buffered by Suståne concentrated compost.

"We have chosen to use Suståne 10-1-4 as our early season start-up fertiliser for several years now, and the product has been extremely flexible, giving us consistent performance in varying weather conditions over the last few springs. It helps us to achieve a good balance of sward recovery, whilst also adding the organic base to stimulate soil health at a crucial time early season."
